MiniGuy was a DMV-licensed dealer/broker in California for 12 years, but all cars on this site are “For Sale by Owner.” For details or more info, please contact us. We also assist in having thorough pre-purchase evaluations performed, Escrow services to provide for more-secure funds and title transfers, and door-to-door transport. When considering a car for purchase – including ones on this site, it's prudent to pay for a specialist or your mechanic to check them out, since these will not necessarily have undergone the same scrutiny they would've had before being offered in MiniGuy's former showroom. We also offer "Buyers Agent" services for locating cars, or consulting, or assisting with negotiations or transactions.

NOTE: We're always seeking classic Minis for these "Consignment / For Sale by Owner" pages. Please use our Vehicle Request Form or contact us at: miniguy@miniguy.com

Sold1958 Morris Minor woodie wagon

UPDATE: GONE, GONE, GONE – to its new home in Austin, Texas!

This 1958 Morris Minor “Traveller” (aka: “woodie wagon”) has been restored/customized top to bottom to pretty much “jewelry-like” condition. Every detail is immaculate and done to a better-than-it-left-the-factory standard.

While a concours judge might turn up his/her nose at the non-factory (purple!) color and the non-original wood panels inset in the side rear sections, among other things, this woodie will still put smiles on all the faces who see it – as well as a big smile on your own face. Be prepared for a lot of thumbs-up, waves and pointing whenever you drive it – and be sure to leave early to get where you are going because of all the people who will stop you to ask you about your woodie.

All wood is new, and the inset side-panel wood is custom. The interior is all new. Pretty much everything is new. Needless to say, it’s always garaged and never driven in the wet.

Has all its original running gear, including the 948cc four-cylinder engine with single SU carb and a four-speed transmission. Suspension and drum brakes are stock.

A real attention-getter everywhere it goes, and not just for its bright purple paint!

Won a trophy at a woodie show in Monterey, California for it’s “class”!

Very nice – inside and out. Did we mention it’s purple?

Please keep in mind that this 1958 vehicle – as most vehicles of that era – are not really suited for sustained freeway speeds, but are best used around town for occasional use or to go to brunch or along the shore on nice weekends. And taken to car shows, of course!

Contact us for more info. More pics soon.

Located in La Quinta, CA, 92253 (about 25 mi. SE of Palm Springs) [ ID# WOODIEPURP ]

Asking $7.5k.

By the way, it’s purple!
