MiniGuy was a DMV-licensed dealer/broker in California for 12 years, but all cars on this site are “For Sale by Owner.” For details or more info, please contact us. We also assist in having thorough pre-purchase evaluations performed, Escrow services to provide for more-secure funds and title transfers, and door-to-door transport. When considering a car for purchase – including ones on this site, it's prudent to pay for a specialist or your mechanic to check them out, since these will not necessarily have undergone the same scrutiny they would've had before being offered in MiniGuy's former showroom. We also offer "Buyers Agent" services for locating cars, or consulting, or assisting with negotiations or transactions.

NOTE: We're always seeking classic Minis for these "Consignment / For Sale by Owner" pages. Please use our Vehicle Request Form or contact us at: miniguy@miniguy.com

Sold1969 Morris Mini

( just posted. WOW, that was fast, sold the same day it was posted! Always good to check with us directly to see what might be available that’s not yet posted to the site!)

It’s a genuine, unmolested Mk2 model, so it still has the distinctive doors that have sliding windows and external hinges, like the Mk1 doors, but has Mk2 taillights that are larger than the Mk1 versions. (The Mk2 taillights are more of a rectangular shape.) The Mk2 grille is larger and no longer has the “mustache” and “whiskers” of the Mk1 models, which had been built from 1959-mid-1967. The rear window is slightly wider, but no so you’d notice. Mk2 model Minis are fairly rare, since they were only built from mid-1967 through 1969. After that, Minis had roll-up windows and internal door hinges, a design used until the end of classic Mini production in the year 2000.

Right-hand-drive (RHD), 4-speed manual transmission. It’s not a bright white, more of a creme white. Has the standard 850cc engine with the shifter than comes from below the firewall, a  longer shifter that’s sometimes dubbed the “magic wand,” “pudding-stirrer,” or “waggly” gearshift.

Currently fitted with Minilite-style (10″, 8-spoke) alloys and Yokohama rubber. (Stock, original 10″ steel wheels, hubcaps and skinny tires included.)

FINE PRINT: MiniGuy / Lewis Motors makes no representations as to the accuracy of any seller’s listings on our “Consignment – For Sale by Owner” pages, including but not limited to, physical or mechanical condition of vehicle, status of title or registration, any applicable emissions-equipment, emissions-testing or emissions-certification requirements, as well as relevant safety equipment or safety-related requirements, import status, or fitness for use. Please note that emissions or safety requirements may differ by state, region, or country. Potential buyers should consult their appropriate state or local agencies or departments to determine, among other things, the status of a particular vehicle related to the above, including vehicles that might normally be exempt from emissions testing, emissions equipment, or emissions certification requirements. For California buyers or sellers, more information may be obtained from various state and local agencies, including, but not limited to, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the Bureau of Automotive Repairs (BAR) and the California Air Resources Board (ARB).

BOTTOM LINE: This is a case where it pays to do your homework. Be careful what you buy, you may not be able to drive it in some states, including California.
