This bright red 1973 Mini has been “Cooperized” with a 1275cc engine and the two-tone color scheme (ie: white roof) typical of the Cooper models. It’s a true “Mk3″ body shell (not a reshell), so it has roll-up windows, internal hinges, a larger grill than the Mk1 Minis, and the larger, rectangular, two-color taillights. Has four-speed, four-synchro, rod-shift manual transmission. Has 10″ Minilite-style (8-spoke) alloy wheels fitted with performance tires, and large flares painted to match the body. Engine is nicely detailed, and it has a new RC40 exhaust. Fitted with the optional, 9-gallon fuel tank for extra range. Has the classic center-pod speedo, with the oil pressure and water temperature gauges on the side. Has sport steering wheel. Interior is black and is in good condition. Currently set up as a right-hand drive model, but all Minis come with the holes and mountings to put the steering on either side. Fairly fresh paint, inside and out, done fairly nicely. Looks great. Fitted with killer sound system, including a 6-disc CD changer, a 200-watt amp, and a remote-control Pioneer AM-FM stereo with four speakers mounted in ways that did not require cutting.
