A stunning Mini, inside and out. Recent bare-metal paint job, and the bodywork is pretty close to flawless. Our extremely picky Mini spotter in Australia – where we found this gem – says the paintwork is a 9.5 out of 10, (but I’ve never heard him say he’s seen a 10!). Not a speck of rust on it, since any panels needed, such as the boot floor, were replaced with new. Black vinyl interior is in nice condition. Has the classic 10-inch “GB” (Minilite-style, 8-spoke) alloys and small body-color flares, with disc brakes in the front providing the stopping power. Has all the sought-after “Mk1” features, including the “moustache grill” with “whiskers”, the external door hinges and small oval taillights. As a bonus, it has what Mini folks call the “OZ doors”, which have the highly-desirable roll-up windows (with wind wings) of the Australian-assembled Minis, along with the same sort of stainless steel (chrome-look) trim around the door frames that the genuine Cooper and Cooper S came with from the factory. Its 998cc engine starts first turn, runs quietly and cruises at 70 and 80 mph without really breathing hard. The four-synchro, four-speed transmission works perfectly. Recent work includes new front windshield, with new front and rear windshield rubbers. New carpet and padding. New steering wheel. The brightwork, (stainless) grille and bumpers, are in superb condition and have just been polished. A good quality, automatic-arming Bosch ignition immobiliser is fitted. Recent work includes new timing chain, differential seals, engine mounts, rebuilt alternator, new temp gauge sender, new battery, front inertia-reel seat belts, and new seat diaphragms. Just serviced, including oil change, plugs and points, so it’s ready for you to enjoy! Looks great, drives great. $11,500. [ ID# 458IBS ]Vehicle Details:
MiniGuy was a DMV-licensed dealer/broker in California for 12 years, but all cars on this site are “For Sale by Owner.” For details or more info, please contact us. We also assist in having thorough pre-purchase evaluations performed, Escrow services to provide for more-secure funds and title transfers, and door-to-door transport. When considering a car for purchase – including ones on this site, it's prudent to pay for a specialist or your mechanic to check them out, since these will not necessarily have undergone the same scrutiny they would've had before being offered in MiniGuy's former showroom. We also offer "Buyers Agent" services for locating cars, or consulting, or assisting with negotiations or transactions.
