This is one of those cars - it's available for less than half the $36k-plus the seller into it - and it basically needs nothing!


Genuine '66 Mk1 Morris Cooper - upgraded to "S" spec and beyond with 1275cc engine, Cooper S disc brakes, etc.

Has Heritage Certificate that confirms this car's authenticity, original colors, options and build date - on parchment-like paper that's suitable for framing.

In fantastic mechanical condition, report the owners, who have had virtually all mechanical parts replaced or upgraded since first adopting this really nice Mini. Always professionally maintained, never thrashed, always garaged. Lady owner, now retired. (Seller doesn't need the money, just wants to see it go to a new home where it will be loved and appreciated!)

As it's built between 1959-1967, it's a true Mk1 Mini, which means it has the classic "moustache grille" in the front, small oval taillights in the back, and the doors that have sliding windows and external door hinges. Has its correct red-and-gray interior too; gray door cards and panels.

Restoration items include all new wiring harness, radiator, water pump, fan, hoses, engine seals, front end bushings, rear subframe bushings, brake servo (booster), bumpers and chrome. All new, low-restriction performance exhaust isn't loud, but sounds great. Has its original hydrolastic suspension that's been restored so it rides smoothly. New bump stops.

Interior upgrades include leather/alloy steering wheel with original Morris horn push, remote-operated radio/cassette player under seat, speakers in dash cards, large, easy-to-read column-mounted tach. Wood shift knob. Has proper Cooper 100-mph speedo. Everything works, including heater.

Exterior upgrades include (genuine) Minilite (8-spoke) alloy wheels w/ Yokohama rubber, quad driving lights on light bar, alloy fuel filler, roof-mount antenna, new mirrors, chrome wheel moulding and brightwork. Genuine UK number plate on proper bootlid that has original flip-up plate mount.

Under the bonnet, upgrades include oil cooler, large single SU carb on alloy intake, low-restriction performance air filter, chrome rocker cover w/ wing bolts. For increased reliability, upgraded to electronic distributor; original generator system upgraded to alternator for additional accessory power. New push-button starter solenoid.

Paint isn't new but is in very good condition. Front valance (under bumper) has minor rock nicks and chips.

Runs excellent, drives excellent, and cruises at 70 mph without even breathing hard! According to the seller, needs nothing but a driver!

Clear California title with current registration.
