Genuine '69 Morris Mini Cooper 1275 S - Light Yellow [in Seattle]

UPDATE: Seller reports it's GONE, GONE, GONE and will be heading to its new home in Northampton, Massachusetts!

Definitely one of the nicest Cooper S's that we've ever seen. The current owner adopted it from our showroom back in 2003, then promptly had it transported to him in Seattle, where it has led a pampered life, but enjoyed just the same.

Not a nick, not a scratch, not a ding.

As it's an Australian-assembled model, it has the unique roll-up window doors with wind wings (or "quarterlights" as they are known overseas) and, in some cases, the lift-up door handles, yet the OZ versions still have the classic Mk1/2 external door hinges, corner bars and overriders, and the "moustache" grille with "whiskers". And, while the UK-built Minis went to larger Mk2-Mk3 taillights, the Aussie versions kept the unique, distinctive Mk1 small oval taillights.

Other factory features/upgrades for Australian cars include an alternator, 4-synchro transmission and factory-fitted wheel arches (ie: "flares") with the chrome-finish edging .

The light yellow ("primrose") color and black vinyl interior are reportedly its original colors. Aftermarket upgrades include polished Dunlop alloys and a wood-rimmed steering wheel and wood shift knob (now refinished to match since these pics were taken). The headlights are also fitted with rally-style chrome rock-guard screens.

Since arrival in Seattle, it's been well-maintained by who we consider to be Seattle's top Mini specialist.

We don't expect this one to stick around long. Near-flawless genuine Cooper S's are rarely seen - and only a few ever come up for sale!
