UPDATE: Seller reports it's GONE, GONE, GONE to its new home in Texas!

Note: Although this cool car is in Florida, we can assist with nationwide transportation, arrange for a thorough independent mechanical evaluation by a Mini specialist, and arrange an escrow service to ensure a safe transaction and title transfer. References gladly provided.

Caution: If you don't care for getting lots of smiles, waves and thumbs-ups wherever you go - or having to figure out how to wipe the silly grin off your face whenever you get where you are going - don't even consider adopting this Mini!

1972 Innocenti Cooper 1300, now with twin-carb 998cc engine. Factory left-hand-drive (LHD) steering. Exterior is a gunmetal gray (ie: dark silver) w/ black roof.

In good mechanical condition. Runs and drives well; shifts great.

Tires are new, standard 145-series Kumhos. Has front disc brakes, the same 7.5" diameter ones found on Cooper S models. Also has power brake booster (ie: servo).

Interior is black vinyl with patterned cloth inserts. Odometer reads 97k kilometers (ie: approximately 61k miles). Uncertain if original miles, but engine has been swapped and transmission upgraded to a four-speed, four-synchro "remote shift" model.

For background, Innocenti Minis were built under license in Italy, but to a higher standard than the UK-built versions. Unique to the Innocenti is a distinctive dash fitted with six gauges, including a factory tachometer, along with fresh air vents. The rollup windows also feature "wind wings" (or, "quarter lights," as known in some countries). The headlight rings and grilles also differ from typical Minis. The three-color taillights incorporate a reverse light, (a feature not found on UK-built Minis of the period). The gauges and heater controls are in Italian, such as "olio" for oil pressure and "agua" for the water temperature.

Special wheels are the proper factory Innocenti pressed-steel ones. In the boot (ie: trunk) is a matching spare and original jack, as well as the small tool kit still in its factory pouch.

Fine print: With any 36-year old classic car, there will be things that aren't perfect, of course. The good-quality paint isn't new but shines well. Unique Innocenti dash has two very small cracks. Headliner has two small slits and the factory glue stains (see pics). A new headliner is included (but not installed). Exterior has a difficult-to-see shallow dent on top of left fender and some very small rust blisters in left "A" panel and on lower part of bootld (ie: smaller than 1/4"). Previous rust repairs include two metal patches in the front floors, as well as some patching of the boot floor in the tire well. Rear seat bottom replaced with black vinyl, along with top of rear seat. Carpets are in good condition; a sort of pale green color. Added later is a period-style front roof-mount antenna.

Basically, this Mini is ready to enjoy now!

Current Florida title and current registration. Unique Italian license plates included.

Located in Lake Helen in Central Florida 32744 (ie: about 30 miles NE of Orlando, about 25 SW of Daytona Beach)
