Genuine 1968 Mk2 Morris 998 Cooper. Heritage Certificate. Has its proper 998cc Cooper (performance) engine with twin carbs, as well as Cooper disc brakes. Has its factory Cooper stock steel wheels and stainless hubcaps.

Runs well, drives well. Has full pull-back sunroof.

Recent service includes new distributor and rebuilt twin SU carbs, which are appropriate for the Cooper model.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It's a fairly nice presentable car (what we'd call a 10-footer) that is a blast to drive - and gets lots of smiles, waves and thumbs-up wherever it goes! That said, there are a number of areas underneath and in the boot floor that have rust patches - and the floor is particulary in need of additional patches - or, when you have the time/money, replace floor sections and maybe the outer sills.(Lots of pics of the underside available).

NOTE: The condition of the rusty underside explains the VERY low price - as half-decent (genuine) "Cooper" models can fetch in the $11k-$13k range or so. Also, the pics show it a bit nicer than it shows upon close inspection, meaning it's a bit scruffy here and there. Also, the worn third gear transmission synchro requires careful downshifts to any gear noise.
