Genuine '67 Morris Cooper S [in Tucson, Arizona]

UPDATE: It's GONE, GONE, GONE - to its new home!

Update w/ new price: Seller now including new car cover (paid $250), a Haynes manual and stack of Mini World magzines. Also, now has complete tuneup and oil change, as well as a fresh battery and fuel pump. Runs and drives excellent - and it's ready for you to enjoy!

note: local Mini club members have reportedly inspected it recently and note that it's a true Cooper S!

This Morris Mini Cooper 1275 S has zero rust, and no dings, dents or scratches. Paint is in excellent condition. It's said to be a genuine S, and seller is awaiting a Heritage Certificate (ie: for the purists).

Exterior is white with a black roof. The factory interior would have been in two-tone, but this one is redone in black vinyl with red piping, with black door cards and carpets.

Has aftermarket steering wheel with chrome drop bracket on the steering column, and a Mk2-type turn signal lever that incorporates a horn push. Interior includes alloy seat extenders, and a period "Paddy Hopkirk" accelerator pedal. Alloys are 10" Minilite-style fitted with Bridgestone tires.

Reportedly has the proper Mk1 Cooper S twin fuel tanks, oil cooler and the the rest of the chrome door trim, brackets, holes and other features and chrome unique to Mk1 Coopers.

As with most Mini Deluxe and Coopers, the distinct Mk1 features include doors that have external hinges and sliding windows, small oval taillights and the trademark "moustache" grille with "whiskers," as well as the corner bars and overriders on the bumpers front and rear.

For cooler temps, the rear window and side glass are tinted black.

True Cooper S's rarely come up for sale. While not perfect, this one's in good condition.

Heritage Certificate applied for, so cannot yet be verified if it's a true "matching numbers" car.

And the nitpicky stuff: For the purists, this Mini has a number of non-original, incorrect or missing parts, and/or flaws, including aftermarket upgrades or modifications. Examples would be things such as the alloy valve cover, aftermarket carb and air cleaner, incorrect dash pod (ie: Mk2+ style) and incorrect inside mirror. Non-original -type seat upholstery (and seat piping). Has different heater; missing heater valve on block, as well as heather controls and fresh air intake hose. Brake servo missing. Aftermarket Minilight-style (8-spoke) alloys instead of factory steel ones with small hubcaps, added wheel arches (flares), added window tinting. Center-exit aftermarket performance exhaust header. Boot board setup may not be correct (ie: it's hard to see in the pics). Starter solenoid in different location. Front "S" ashtray (ie: covered) missing; replaced with standard Mini type. Window latches fitted incorrectly, but that's an easy fix.

More pics and details to follow. Drop us a note if you'd like to be notified when we have more.
