Purple, Peppy and Pretty...$12.5k... Cooper-style w/ 1275cc, discs [in Austin, TX]

UPDATE: Seller reports it's GONE, GONE, GONE to it's new home far away!

Just listed. Seller recently relocated from California to Austin, Texas. (Has current Texas tags and registration, and it's California titled).

Its 1275cc engine (the largest from the factory) has the 90-hp (at flywheel) engine upgrades so it's VERY quick - but still docile enough for everyday use. The stock engine puts out about 65-70 hp, so the extra hp makes a huge difference - particularly considering the classic Mini weighs only 1,500 lbs!

This very clean Cooper-style Mini looks very sharp in purple, with its silver roof and twin silver bonnet stripes. Factory left-hand-drive (LHD) steering. Has 31k pampered miles. Inside and out, it's in like-new condition. Paint is excellent and interior is unmarked. Always garaged. Zero rust - and never had any. No collision damage. Fully freeway-capable; cruises all day at 70-plus mph - without even breathing hard!

Exterior:

Upgrades include 12" Ultralight (8-spoke) alloys w/ Yokohama rubber, chrome wheel arch covers, twin chrome mirrors, alloy flip-top fuel filler, quad driving lights in front, roof-mount antenna, and fully adjustable suspension with Spax shocks.

Interior:

Leather upholstery w/ flecked cloth inserts is in like-new condition. Wood dash and white-face gauges. Like virtually all classic Minis, there is no air conditioning, but has twin fresh-air dash vents. For additional ventilation, the side rear windows pop outward. Three-point retractable seat belts in front and rear. Rear window defogger. Alloy door furniture. In-dash CD player. Immobilizer alarm system.

For additional protection, has rear "Safety Devices" roll bar with easily-removable diagonal brace (ie: for easier access to rear seat, if desired).

Under bonnet:

Along with the 90-hp engine upgrades, it has aftermarket, low-restriction performance Pipercross air filter, Maniflow exhaust system and alloy rocker cover. Distributorless electronic ignition. Has four-speed, four-synchro, rod shift (stronger, smoother shifting) transmission. Mini repair manual included, but owner hasn't needed to use it!

According to the seller, it's a 1968 model and has been California titled since 2002. (Most components appear to be from a twin-point-injected model from the late '90's - including a driver's side airbag).

Has won several trophies from local car shows. Health issues force reluctant sale. Seller hopes to see it go to a new home where it will be enjoyed and cared for! Has current Texas tags and registration, and it's California titled.

If you care for such things, it reportedly gets 35 mpg...

Now located in Leander, Texas 78641 (near Austin).

(Note: Austin, TX is about 2 hours from San Antonio, 3 hours from Houston; 4 hours from Dallas).
